Target's deception

6/30/24:

Target's yard-trucks went essentially silent beginning the day after people received the petition letter. The first four days were completely silent. There were nearly no beepers to be heard during the first seven days following residents receiving the petition letter.

Target management was obviously aware that the petition letter had been received by residents and are plainly trying to undermine the petition by halting the yard-truck activity for four days, followed by severely restricted activity.

They had plenty of time to prepare for it, as they were certainly aware that a petition was coming. They had been interviewed by the Star Tribune, and I had given City Hall one month's warning that the petition was coming.

There has never been such a long spell of yard-truck inactivity, or anything remotely like it, in all the years that Target has been running those trucks with beepers. One to two days of inactivity at a time has always been the rule, right up until the petition letter was received by residents. See the activity log (Daily log) for the very telling sole exception to that.

It's always the people who are in the wrong that engage in deception. Target's managers know they're in the wrong, which is why they practice deception.

Again, there are alternative backing alarms
available to Target. See Unjustifiable

Here is a graph showing the yard-truck activity,
as monitored during mornings and evenings,
over a thirteen week period, May - August, 2024:

Not only is reduced or rearranged activity still not acceptable, it can't be predicted in what manner Target management will arrange the yard-truck activity in the future. Only a switch to broadband white noise backing alarms will properly resolve the issue.

Realtors:

Fridley City Hall is the best option for learning what Target's future plans are regarding the yard-truck backup beepers, as only City Hall or media entities (such as the Star Tribune) can contact Target Management. You can have your home-buying client contact Fridley City Hall to make such an inquiry.
