Livability

Realestate noise alert for house buyers

Fridley has a history of plopping noisy industrial
operations next to existing residential neighborhoods.

Target Distribution Center's unjustifiable backup-beeper
noise -- morning, day and and night -- which penetrates
closed windows, has made our neighborhood unlivable.

Wrongly engineered air-exchangers running at illegal
levels have also ruined our neighborhood. Windows can
no longer be left open without hearing them 24/7.

The above map of our 0.5 mile by 0.8 mile neighborhood indicates the intelligent, credible residents who have made a public complaint about Target Distribution Center's yard-truck backup beepers.

Most residents don't want people outside this community to know about the issue. They have no intention of revealing to their potential realtor or a home-buyer the fact that, for many years, Target's yard-truck beepers have been penetrating this neighborhood about fifty percent of the time, at any time of the day or night, seven days a week.

Target's yard-truck beepers account for more than 98 percent of backup beeper noise in this neighborhood.

This is not a neighborhood for having a window open,
enjoying one's porch or patio, or being outside.

Target's yard is fenced, gated and guarded.

There is no unsuspecting public strolling
   through the Target yard.

   There are alternative backing alarms
   available to Target.
